Well that made me think I want to switch to smaller patterns and I thought about trying out tatting jewelry. I'm also a goth I can now announce that I have started selling my original shuttle tatting patterns as PDFs in my Etsy shop. I wanted to use my tatting in a fresh and modern way, but one that would still allow it to be displayed and easily identified as this beautiful old craft. The doily we Still working on the "Nouveau" tatted jewelry set pattern. I'm a designer of Medieval, Renaissance, Tudor and gothic inspired tatted jewellery. At the class, which you can see at the picture above, we are working at a doily, and you see also that tatting ladies like the colour purple for dressing. I have also raided my stash of jewellery and even taken one necklace to pieces for the beads, so there is nothing safe at the moment. The dress is from 1966 so it's a genuine Vintage piece. I have done a lot of tatting, but haven't photographed it, and these necklaces also don't show up all that well. The floral one is done to Lyn Morton's pattern in her jewellery book, and the black one is just my own invention.
